The cast iron plate is suitable for 35 cm diameter crepe makers that are powered by gas and which feature manual temperature control. The inside rim and moulded mounds underneath the plate increase the surface area for heat exchange and slow down heat loss.
This plate is unsuitable for gas crepe makers with thermostat control as well as electric crepe makers.
Advice on use and maintenance
Season the plate before first use to protect the traditional machined cast iron plate and give it its non-stick properties. See here for a step-by-step guide. Retrouvez la marche à suivre ici.
After each use, allow the plate to cool, then wipe clean. For heavy use, once a day, lightly rub the abrasive stone over the warm plate using a circular motion and finish by adding a layer of oil.
